2023: With Okowa By My Side, We’ll Be Unbeatable – Atiku

The 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has expressed confidence in the ability of his chosen running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State.

In a submission on Monday via his Twitter account, Atiku expressed confidence that together, they’ll be unbeatable.

He wrote in a personally signed statement: “With you @IAOkowa standing at my side, we’d be unbeatable as a people and as a nation. -AA.”

Atiku’s statement comes as a reaction to an earlier statement also on Monday by Okowa himself who said with Atiku at the frontline, no one will be left behind in the effort of building Nigeria.

In the words of Okowa which he tagged as #MondayMotivation alongside a picture of both of them together, he declared: “Know this, with @Atiku Abubakar at the frontline, no one will be left behind in the march to this country’s greatness.”

The declaration comes at a time there are insinuations that the political play that led to the emergence of Okowa as the vice-presidential candidate of the PDP might have unsettled Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State who is said to have also had the backing of most leaders of the party.

However, in a move that reportedly came as a surprise to some PDP leaders themselves, Atiku chose to instead go with the choice of Okowa as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election.

Speaking recently on the matter, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees,(BoT) Senator Walid Jibrin in a statement on Sunday made available to pressmen in Kaduna State said the party will beg Wike as the Governor remains a respected party leader despite recent happenings.
