Mohbad: Police Pick Date To Give Update On Investigations

The Lagos Command of the Nigerian Police Force is scheduled to hold a press conference on investigations into the death of fast-rising singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba professionally known as Mohbad.

It has been reported the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Idowu Owohunwa would address the press by 3 pm at the state headquarters in Ikeja during which updates regarding the investigation into Mohbad’s death are expected to be made known to members of the public.

The scheduled press conference was confirmed on Thursday by the Lagos State Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin during a phone chat with Punch.

“The CP will be addressing the press tomorrow by 3 p.m. Come with all your questions and he will answer them. Until then, I can’t talk,” Hundeyin said.

It would be recalled that Mohbad died suddenly under controversial circumstances on September 12, 2023.

His death generated a lot of reactions including allegations that Naira Marley and Sam Larry both had a hand in his death.

Why Naira Marley, Sam Larry Were Taken To Court
Earlier, the Lagos State Police Command obtained a remand warrant to detain singer, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and music promoter, Balogun Eletu, otherwise known as Sam Larry, beyond the 48-hour constitutional provision.

The spokesman of the Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, made this known on Wednesday.
