The national grid has collapsed again, throwing Nigerians into darkness

Nigerians have been thrown into a blackout due to the collapse of the national grid.

The national electricity grid suffered a system collapse on Friday, making it the third within one month.

Abdulazeez Abdullahi, the Head of Corporate Communications of Kaduna Electric, disclosed that the grid collapsed at about 6.29 pm on Friday.

In a statement he signed, Abdullahi assured that the power supply would be restored soon.

“Dear Esteemed Customers, the management of Kaduna Electric regrets to inform you that the current outage being experienced in our franchise States is due to a collapse of the national grid.

The collapse occurred at about 18:29 pm this evening. The normal power supply shall be restored as soon as the grid is restored.
