Election: Tribunal declines Atiku, PDP’s request to inspect INEC server

The application by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to inspect smart card readers and the server for the 2019 presidential election has been declined by the presidential election petitions tribunal.

The application by the former vice president and the PDP was unanimously dismissed on Monday, June 24, by five-member panel of justices, Daily Trust reports.

It was gathered that in the main ruling by the chairman of the tribunal, Justice Mohammed Garba held that due to the fact that the matter is a substantive issue for determination by the tribunal, it cannot be determined at the interlocutory stage.
