A short clip of the crashed helicopter conveying Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, has emerged on social media.
The chopper crashed in Kabba, Kogi State on Saturday afternoon.
In the two-minute clip, the aircraft could be seen lying on its side, with emergency workers pulling people out to safety.
There was clear pandemonium on the field where it was to land as citizens around the area could be seen running helter skelter.
Meanwhile, Osinbajo has expressed gratitude to God after surviving the crash.
Writing on his Twitter page, thanked God for saving his life and that of the crew members after the crash.
He said, “We are extremely grateful to the Lord for preserving our lives from the incident that just happened. Everyone of us is safe and no one is maimed.
“We are safe and sound! Thank you to everyone who has expressed concern and thank you to the crew who managed the situation well.
“We believe that God will continue to keep us and Nigeria safe even as we go higher. We continue.”
