Failed New York suicide bomber, Akayed Ullah, 27 pictured writhing in agony [VIDEO]

A photo has emerged purportedly showing a failed suicide bomber writhing in pain after an attempted attack on a Manhattan bus station.

The 27-year-old man, identified as Akayed Ullah, suffered injuries after a suspected pipe bomb he had strapped to his stomach partially detonated at Port Authority on Monday morning.

The photo shows burn marks and gashes across his torso while he lays cuffed on the ground. He has been taken into custody.

A total of four people are believed to have been injured in the explosion, say New York City Fire Department. All injured are non life-threatening.

It is thought that the bomb may have gone off prematurely and was not intended to have detonated in that location, sources told CNN.
