Ailing President Muhammadu Buhari has finally arrived Nigeria after spending 103 days in London treating an undisclosed ailment.
Exactly 4:34pm Nigerian time, the Presidential plane conveying President Muhammadu Buhari touched down at Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport in Abuja.
Earlier, Adesina had issued a statement to announce that the president was on his way back to the country. Buhari left the country on May 7.
The President was received by his Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo who has been acting since his medical leave. Buhari was also received by Mohammed Abubakar, governor of Bauchi state; Rochas Okorocha, governor of Imo; Lai Mohammed, minister of information and Babagana Mongunno, national security adviser.
Upon his arrival, the president inspected a guard of honour at the presidential wing of the airport.
Mr. Buhari’s prolonged absence sparked protests, the latest led by the group, Resume or Resign.
