Police impound tinted vehicles in Imo

THE Imo State Police Command has begun the seizure of vehicles without approved tinted glasses, siren lights and plate numbers in the state.

The command, which had already confiscated 21 vehicles, had penultimate week warned motorists with unapproved tinted glasses, spy plate numbers, revolving and siren lights to remove them on or before July 3, 2017.

Speaking with Southern City News on Monday, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Andrew Enwerem, disclosed that the 21 vehicles were seized at the end of the deadline.

Enwerem said a mobile court was established to prosecute offenders, adding that the operatives of the command had been deployed to arrest offenders.
