CBN Governor’s wife abducted, N1.5b ransom demanded

The wife of Nigeria’s Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele has been reportedly kidnapped.  The abductors are demanding a ransom of N1.5 Billion.
The demand was made shortly after Mrs. Margaret Emefiele was kidnapped along the Benin-Agbor Road yesterday 29th of September 2016 by heavily armed men.

The kidnappers, who got in touch with Emefiele, a top police officer in the Office of the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, vowed not to release their victim until the ransom is paid.

It was gathered that Idris has deployed the Intelligence Response Team under his office and other crack detectives within the Force to rescue Margaret unhurt and without paying any ransom.
