Gunmen abduct NNPC staff in Kaduna

One Yusuf Abdulkadir, a staff of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, was reportedly kidnapped in Kaduna during the weekend.
Abdulkadir was kidnapped at about 10pm at his residence in Rigachikun area of Igabi Local Government Area of the state on Sunday, Leadership reports.

Although as at press time, the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Zubairu Abubakar could not confirm the abduction, a family source who did not want his name in print, disclosed that the gunmen trailed him while he was returning to his house and whisked him away to an unknown destination.
According to the source, “They trailed him to the house on the said night, dragged him out of his car at gun point and whisked him away.

“The abducted person works at NNPC Towers, Abuja, but usually comes to Kaduna at the weekends to see his family members,” the source said, adding that the matter has been reported to the police.
