Yobe State Governor Signs 2016 Appropriation And Finance Bill Into Law

Yobe state Governor Ibrahim Gaidam has signed into law the 2016 finance and appropriation bills gaining support from the citizens.
The budget was tagged “Result Based Budget for Consolidation, Reconstruction And Self Reliance.”
He said that the 2016 appropriation and finance bills presented for his assent provides for the total expenditure of N88,932,740,000.00 which according to him indicates that the total budget size remains the same as presented.
He noted slight internal adjustments effected based on some observations and harmonization of some expenditure items during the budget defense by Ministries, Departments and Agencies before the House committee on finance and appropriation.
The Governor enjoined Ministries, Departments and Agencies to uphold the principles of of probity, accountability and transparency as well as ensure that contracts be awarded following due process.
He further appealed to the people of the state to rededicate themselves to the task of transforming Yobe state and to imbibe the culture of financial discipline,self reliance and innovation.
