Buhari Reacts To Aisha’s BBC Interview: You Belong To My Kitchen Not APC [VIDEO]

President Muhammadu Buhari has laughed off comments made by his wife, Aisha Buhari, about him, saying she belongs to his kitchen and not his government or the All Progressive Congress (APC).

“I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room,” Buhari, who is on a three-day working visit to Germany told reporters.

The comment prompted German Chancellor Angela Merkel into laughter as she was standing beside the president while he responded to questions from journalists in the European nation.

Recall that Nigeria’s first lady Aisha Buhari in an interview on BBC Hausa-language service broadcasted on Friday, openly questioned her husband’s work and said she may not support him if he runs again.

According to her, President Buhari did not know many top government officals he appointed, accusing them of not sharing the vision of the APC.

“He is yet to tell me, but I have decided as his wife that if things continue like this up to 2019, I will not go out and campaign again and ask any woman to vote like I did before. I will never do it again,” Aisha Buhari said.

President Buhari, as part of his comments in Germany did not say if he will run for a second-term in 2019 or not, but said Aisha should remember he ran for president three times before succeeding on the fourth.

“So I claim superior knowledge over her and the rest of the opposition, because in the end I have succeeded. It’s not easy to satisfy the whole Nigerian opposition parties or to participate in the government.”
