Abducted Lagos female students freed

The three female students who were abducted from the Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary in Ikorodu, Lagos State have been released, Channels TV is reporting.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni said the girls were found at the Igbokuta area of Ikorodu.
Owoseni said the girls are hale and hearty and were not molested by their abductors.

The Police Commissioner also disclosed to Channels Television that three arrests have been made in connection with the abduction.
Three female students on February 29 were abducted from the Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary School by gunmen in Ikorodu area of Lagos.

The students were abducted by heavily armed men who were said to have scaled the fence and shot sporadically during the prep hour on Monday night.

One of the parents of the abducted girls told Channels Television that the armed men made the attempt in January this year, but were repelled by the school security and the fence of the school was further raised.
