EPL: Conte becomes second, highest-paid manager after Tottenham move [Top 8]

New Tottenham Hotspur manager, Antonio Conte, is now the joint-second highest-paid manager in the Premier League.

The 52-year-old is only behind Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola. Conte has put pen to paper on an 18-month deal at White Hart Lane on Tuesday to replace Nuno Espirito Santo.

According to the UK Sun, Conte’s contract is thought to be worth £15 million per year.

That works out at around £290,000 per week for the Italian, putting him on a level pay grade as Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

Guardiola leads the way on a staggering £20m per year or £385,000 per week. Brendan Rodgers’ £10m annual pay packet at Leicester City is enough to secure fourth in the list.

Marcelo Bielsa’s new contract worth £8m per year saw the Leeds boss rival Manchester United chief Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who gets £7.5m.

Following them on £7m are current Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel and Everton gaffer Rafael Benitez.
