College sacks 82 workers in Osun

The management of Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun has sacked 82 workers as the crisis rocking the college lingers.

The affected workers, who were relieved of their duties on Tuesday, were members of the Non-Academic Staff Union.
The Chairman of College of Education Academic Staff Union, Segun Onifade confirmed the sack saying the sacked
workers were contract staff.
When contacted, the Chairman of the Governing Council of the college, Niyi Akande said he was not aware of the development.
However, the leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students has threatened to shut down economic and social activities in Osun state over the development.
NANS Deputy Coordinator, Zone D, Comrade Afolabi Saheed appealed to Governor Rauf Aregbesola to recall sacked the workers.
