Hardship: Curses, protests won’t help Tinubu – Primate Ayodele to Nigerians

The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, on Tuesday urged Nigerians to desist from cursing and protesting against President Bola Tinubu over the economic downturn in the country.

He urged Nigerians to rather pray for Tinubu and his ministers because they seem confused about the current situation of the country.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele revealed that it is possible the economy will shut down in the next two weeks if there is no solution to the current crisis happening in the country.

The prophet stated that instead of cursing leaders and protesting against them, Nigerians should organize prayers for them in order to have the wisdom to turn the situation around for the good of Nigerians.

The man of God mentioned that the curses will only make situations worse instead of getting better therefore; prayers should be done on their behalf in order to save Nigerians from this hardship.

“Cursing President Tinubu and those in power will not solve anything. Nigerians should learn to pray for their leaders because we all want the country to be better. I warned Nigerians against voting for APC but they didn’t listen and now, they are reaping what they sowed. Protests and curses won’t solve anything other than prayers for our leaders.

In the next two weeks, the Nigerian economy may shut down if there is no solution to some of the issues we are facing, especially on price control. We will just realize everyone is going on strike, no one would be willing to sell anything again because of the economic hardship. We have failed to listen before we got to this stage and curses will not even do anything at all. All we need now is God’s mercy for our leaders and country,” he said.

Recall that Primate Ayodele had advised the government to crash the prices of food items in order to reduce hardship in the country. He urged the government to work on agriculture, electricity, insecurity, and others to salvage the economic pandemic.

“Government of Nigeria must work on five things in 2024 which can make the country to be great: (1) Stable light, (2) Improve security and buy more weapons, (3) Development of infrastructural facilities, (4) Agriculture (plenty of food) and (5) Create employment,’’ the cleric stated.
