The Shepherd-in-charge of the Celestial Church of Christ International Headquarters in Ketu, Olatosho Oshoffa, has expressed strong disapproval of the invitation extended to Fuji singer Pasuma and Portable to perform at one of the church’s branches praise nights.
A social media uproar ensued on Wednesday when an event flyer announcing Pasuma and Portable’s participation at the church’s praise night in Lagos circulated widely.
Social media users took to the comments section of the post to criticize the church’s decision regarding the performers.
In response to the flyer posted on his Facebook page on Wednesday, Oshoffa disclosed that he had held discussions with the clergyman overseeing the parish, assuring that the controversial artistes would no longer be part of the event.
Sharing the flyer on his Facebook page, he stated, “Dear Celestians, I have just spoken to the Shepherd in Charge of the above Parish at length. He has promised to make amendments to the posters.
He has promised that the said contested artists would NOT come for the Nights. There is No doubt the said poster is very CONDEMNABLE. God bless CCC. Amen.”
