A Judge of the Supreme Court, Justice John Inyang Okoro, has said his house was searched by heavily armed operatives of the Department of State Services because he failed to heed the request of President Muhammadu Buhari and the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, that the All Progressives Congress must win the appeals filed in respect of the 2015 governorship election in three States.
The States involved are Akwa IBom, Rivers and Abia States.
The three states are under the control of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Okoro, in a letter to the Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, said Amaechi had approached him after the election that Buhari directed him to tell him that the APC must win the appeals at all cost.
Justice Okoro, however, did not say he was contacted directly by President Buhari.
He said several mouth watering promises were made to him by Amaechi and some of the candidates of the APC for the elections.
