Do Not Join Nigerian Army, It Will Be Deadly – IPOB Warns Igbo Youths

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has warned Igbo youths against joining the Nigerian Army.

The proscribed group cautioned that any youths who fail to comply might be a “sacrificial lamb”.

IPOB argued that the Nigerian state was not for Ndigbo and Biafrans.

Speaking via a statement on Saturday, IPOB’s spokesman, Emma Powerful, said the group was against Igbo youths joining the Nigerian Army because it had no good intentions towards Ndigbo.

Powerful stated that it would be deadly for any Igbo to join an institution that was working in Ndigbo’s interest.

The statement read in part, “The Directorate of State of IPOB once again cautions Igbo youths not to join the ongoing recruitment by the Nigeria Army. We have categorically maintained that the Nigerian State is not for Ndigbo and Biafrans.

“Just as Biafran youths listened to IPOB’s instructions and jettisoned the Commonwealth military recruitment for the British proxy war against Russia and China, we are equally advising Biafran youths to jettison the ongoing nepotistic Nigerian Army recruitment.

“IPOB is against Biafrans, particularly Ndigbo, joining the Nigerian Army because the Nigerian Army has no good intentions towards Ndigbo. It will be deadly to join an institution which one of its core objectives is to kill and destroy Ndigbo

“Any Biafran youth out of desperation for employment who joins the Nigerian Army because of their recruitment will be solely responsible for whatever happens to him or herself. Avoid the Nigerian Army recruitment or perish in your ignorance.”
