People Are Really, Really Suffering In Edo – Asue Ighodalo

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Edo governorship election candidate, Asue Ighodalo, has said residents and indigenes of the state are suffering from poverty caused by bad governance.

Asue Ighodalo said he wants to reduce the suffering of the people of Edo State if elected in the September election.

I’m in the race for Edo State Governorship because I want to bring my wealth of corporate experience and management to impact lives and reduce the sufferings of our people to the barest minimum.

Through governance, we can affect more people and change more lives,” Ighodalo said.

The PDP governorship candidate stated this on Monday while speaking on Arise TV Morning Show.

He explained that his political journey to be the governor of the state has been tough.

He added that he believed his experience in the private and public sectors equipped him with the right tools to address the suffering of citizens of the state.

Ighodale promised he would make a difference in the lives of Edo citizens if he wins the governorship election.

What pushed me? The will to serve our people. You know, no matter what you are in the corporate sector, no matter how high you rise in the corporate sector, you can be chairman of as many boards as possible.

How many lives can you positively affect? And my experience working on the board of the Nigerian Sovereign Wealth Fund, the NSIA, also indicated to me the impact of public office on the lives of the Nigerian people.

I see that I can create a difference, I can make a difference from my experiences in the private sector, from my advisory role in other sectors, I can make a difference. So that’s why I stepped out.

And so far, it’s been tough, but I see more every day as I move around the state that the people are really, really suffering. And there’s a lot more that needs to be done,” Ighodalo added.
