According to the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), they are regulators and cannot provide legal support for a company.
The regulatory body made this statement in response to claims made by billionaire investor Aliko Dangote that they were undermining a company that they should have been protecting.
