Before giving legislative assent, the House of Representatives has promised to make sure that President Bola Tinubu’s request to add ₦6.2tr to the 2024 budget is in the best interests of Nigerians.
In an interview with reporters on Friday in Abuja, Philip Agbese, the Deputy Spokesperson of the House, disclosed this.
Recall that President Tinubu requested permission from the two houses of the National Assembly in letters he sent, asking for an increase in funding from ₦27.5 trillion to ₦6.2 trillion for 2024.
