Tinubu To Attend African Union Mid-year Meeting In Ghana

In order to take part in the Sixth Mid-Year Coordination Meeting of the African Union (AU), the Regional Economic Communities (RECs), the Regional Mechanisms (RMs), and the African Union Member States, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will leave Abuja on Saturday, July 20 and go to Accra, Ghana.

Ajuri Ngelale, the president’s special adviser on media and publicity, reportedly revealed this in a statement on Friday.

As the head of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, Tinubu will speak at the conference about the state of regional integration in different parts of Africa. He will highlight the successes and difficulties faced by West Africa since the region’s last meeting, which took place in Nairobi, Kenya, in July 2023.
