In Sango, Igoba, Akure, the state capital, agents of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, also referred to as the Amotekun Corps, were involved in a violent altercation with suspected herdsmen over the weekend.
Information surfaced that the attack happened when Amotekun agents were implementing the state’s legislation against open grazing.
Some of the operatives were severely macheted during the attack, and the ensuing violent altercation caused the Ado-Akure road to be closed to traffic for several hours.
