Primary Edo Government: PDP Demands Asue, Ogie Ticket Is Still Valid Despite Court Decision

The Federal High Court’s decision on the party’s delegate election, according to the Edo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Organization, does not nullify the outcomes of the primary election, which chose Osarodion Ogie and Dr. Asue Ighodalo as the party’s gubernatorial candidates.

A Federal High Court in Abuja ruled that the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) primary election, which produced Asue Ighodalo as the party’s nominee for the next Edo State governorship election, was unconstitutional, as previously reported by NEWS 360 INFO.

The party referred to the court’s ruling as “a strange development and contrary to a long line of Appellate Courts’ decision on the subject” in response.
