Gunmen reportedly abduct Delsu student, demand N1m ransom from family

Gunmen have reportedly abducted a twenty-five-year-old student of the Delta State University, Abraka in Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State, Onoriode Roman.

The gunmen reportedly also stripped her naked after she was kidnapped Friday afternoon, the News360 Info reports.

It was gathered that the gunmen used the victim’s phone number to communicate with her family.

They’re demanding a one million naira ransom with an order that the family must submit the money by 1pm today, Friday, December 6.

The victim’s mother, Mrs Florence and her elder sister, Ese, who appeared overwhelmed by the situation, have called on the Police and all relevant security agencies to intervene and help rescue Roman.

At the time of this report, nothing has been heard from the suspected gunmen after their last call when they demanded the one million naira ransom.

Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe’s mobile phone number was switched off when our correspondent called him to confirm the report.

He is also yet to reply to a text and WhatsApp message sent to him.
