At a private birthday celebration in Lagos, Onyeka Onwenu, a well-known Nigerian singer and actress who was fondly referred to as the “Elegant Stallion,” tragically died just after giving a performance.
The 72-year-old music legend allegedly passed away at the event and was subsequently declared deceased at Victoria Island, Lagos’ Reddington Hospital.
Onwenu was there for the birthday celebration of Emzor Pharmaceuticals’ founder, Mrs. Stella Okoli, as she made her farewell appearance on stage.
