Christopher Luka, a senior immigration officer who worked as the Administration Officer of Sector 4 of Operation Safe Haven in the Plateau State local government area of Barikin Ladi, was assassinated in the local government’s Fan town, Fan District.
With the duty of preserving peace in the state, Operation Safe Haven is a multisecurity task team made up of soldiers, police, immigration officers, troops from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, and customs officers.
As an assistant sector commander, the two-star immigration officer was assigned to Sector 4 of the operation.
