Following grave accusations made by Samuel Nwanosike, a close ally of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and the former chairman of the Ikwerre Local Government Area, tensions in Rivers State have increased.
Nwanosike accused Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his Chief of Staff, Hon. Edison Ehie, of using cults and gunmen to incite disorder among the state’s twenty-three local government councils in a video that went viral on Tuesday.
According to Nwanosike, Governor Fubara personally enlisted gunmen from the creeks in order to topple the regional government systems.
