Oyetola: Hoodlums With Cutlass And Guns Attack Campaign Convoy In Osogbo

According to reports, thugs attacked Bolanle Jimoh’s campaign van in Osogbo’s Isale Osun neighborhood. Jimoh is the acting chairman of the Osogbo South Local Council Development Authority.

Attacks were also made against other APC members who were traveling in the convoy.

According to information obtained by Daily Post, the attack took place when Jimoh and the APC members were conducting their normal campaign for the reelection of Adegboyega Oyetola, the state governor.

The suspects who were armed with cutlass and guns vandalized the branded Sienna space bus belonging to the Caretaker Chairman.

The Osun Amotekun office in Osogbo was also attacked while operatives were trying to rescue the chairman from the hands of the hoodlums.

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has stated that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has made life miserable for most Nigerians in the last seven years.

The opposition party described the APC government as insensitive and rudderless, adding that the party came to power in 2015 through fraud and propaganda.

PDP Spokesman, Debo Ologunagba, stated this during a sensitisation campaign for the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) in Abuja on Tuesday.

Ologunagba asked Nigerians to use their PVCs to eject the ruling APC from Aso Rock because the party has completely failed this country in all aspects. He, however, assured Nigerians that their votes will count in the 2023 general elections.
