n explosion has ripped through Sabon Gari area of Kano, Kano State.
According to the information available, several school children were affected by the explosion.
The explosion occurred in the early hours of Tuesday on Aba Road as life started for the day, with schools also just resuming.
Several adults were also hit by the explosion, believed to have been from a bomb.
Details of the incident are still sketchy at the time of filing this report but it was gathered that the explosion occurred at about 9 am, near a primary school along Court Road by Aba Road, with many children affected.
The police anti-bomb unit and several security units have moved to the scene of the incident.
