2023: Osinbajo, Amaechi, Ngige, Others Will Withdraw During APC Presidential Primary – Reno Omokri

Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri on Thursday claimed that some presidential aspirants under the All Progressives Congress would willingly withdraw from the race during the presidential primary of the ruling party.

The APC had pegged its nomination and expression of interest forms for presidential aspirants at N100m, a decision which has not stopped top names in the party from purchasing the form.

Nigerians had condemned the ruling party for putting a high price tag on its form, however, the party has seen more than 20 stakeholders express their intention to contest in the party’s primary election.

There are claims that the APC is still expecting more party members to come on board in their quest to replace President Muhammadu Buhari at the end of his tenure.

Omokri in a post on his Twitter account noted that some aspirants will voluntarily withdraw from the race just like an APC youth leader who cried during the last convention of the party.

According to Omokri, the likes of Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, the Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, former Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, the Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi, the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello and some others would withdraw from the race.

Omokri wrote, “Remember how one APC youth leader cried as he voluntarily withdrew from the race during the last APC convention?

That is how Osinbajo, Amaechi, Fayemi, Amosun, Nwajiuba, Ngige, Umahi, Bello and co will weepingly withdraw on the day of the APC Presidential primaries.”
