The Jigawa State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), have arrested 65 year old, Adamu Abdullahi alias Nagida, for allegedly impregnating an 11-year-old girl after raping her on five occasions.
The Corps Spokesperson, SC Adamu Shehu, made the disclosure, saying Abdullahi of Jarmai quarters of Gawo village in Babura Local Government Area (LGA) of Jigawa state, was arrested while committing the crime, by the personnel of the corps last Saturday at around 11:00am while election was going on.
According to him, the suspect was able to lure his victim, (name withheld) of same address, who hawks onion after cultivating a long term patronage of her product.
According to him, the suspect had the canal knowledge of his victim after inviting her to his house on five occasions, noting that the victim told the personnel of the corp that Abdullahi, threatened to kill her should she exposed the illicit affair.
“The victim is a street hawker, she sells onions. The girl says he used to buy onions from her and in the process, will invite her into his house and rape her. She says it happened five times.
“In the course of interrogation, the victim says she keeps going back because he gives her more money. He also threatened her not to tell anybody. Medical tests from Babura General hospital, shows the girl is pregnant.”
He said the suspect had already confessed to the crime, adding that he will soon be charged to court.
