A pregnant woman was forced to give birth in agony after her boyfriend allegedly set her on fire ‘because he wasn’t ready to be a father’.
Andrea Grinage’s body was covered in burns following the brutal attack at her home in Maryland.
According to the 30-year-old’s father, her boyfriend attacked her because he didn’t want to be a dad.
Andrea later gave birth to a healthy baby girl named Journey Aleah.
Both are now recovering at home.
The mum, who also has two sons aged eight and 15, lost all of her belongings in the blaze.
Her family have since launched a fundraising campaign to help pay for her medical treatment.
Writing on Go Fund Me, her dad said: ‘Everything was lost in the fire and she must begin a new with your help.
‘She has a long road to recovery and unknown medical cost. PLEASE stop domestic violence.’
Speaking to WJLA after the alleged attack, he said: ‘It all stems from him not wanting to take responsibility of him being a newborn dad.
