NFF again? Super Eagles to get New Foreign Coach Tomorrow

The NFF has said…again that it will unviel Nigerian’s new foreign  coach tomorrow unveil, in the person of former Gabon and Burkina Faso coach, German Gernot Rohr.
After former Lyon and Cameroon coach, Paul Le Guen rejected the Nigerian appointment last month, the NFF has been resolute in its drive to get a coach for a Nigeria before the qualifying matches of the 2018 World Cup in Russia commence. Gernot-RohrGernot-Rohr The new coach, according to sources will be unveiled tomorrow in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
It was learnt that Rohr, who had previous coaching stints with Niger, and Tunisian giants Etoile du Sahel will fly into Abuja today from France for the grand unveiling by top officials of the NFF. Unlike Le Guen, who wanted to work from his overseas base, Rohr has promised to live and work in Nigeria and after his unveiling, he is to proceed to Lagos to watch the Nigeria Professional Football League match between Ikorodu United and Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan at the Agege Stadium in Lagos.
He promised to develop local talents and NFF officials are excited about this. President Amaju Pinnick promised that his pay will be be regular as the companies footing the coach’s bill will be paying him directly. Rohr had coached French sides comprising Nantes,Nice, Ajjaccio, Bordeaux and Swiss side, Young Boys.
He was Gabon’s coach when they co-hosted the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations with Equatorial Guinea, guiding them to the quarter-final. He was born in Mannheim, in the former West Germany. He is 63 years old and played as a defender for German giants, Bayern Munich and French side Bordeaux, where he retired in 1989.
