The management of African Independent Television have decided to fire all their staff members in their Edo branch.
Mr Victor Okasoga, Senior Manager in charge of Human Resources conveyed this decision to the workers.
According to the nation, the affected staff have been owed salaries for over 2 years.
According to the letter, affected staff were directed to hand over all company property in “your possession especially your identity cards to the Head of Center.”
“Failure to surrender company properties in your possession may delay the processing of your entitlements,”
The mass sacking might not be unconnected with protests by the affected staff members over the non-payment of their salaries.
