An unidentified man yesterday apparently committed suicide when he jumped into a canal at Cele Bus Stop on the Oshodi/Apapa Expressway in Lagos.
His body was later brought out by men of the Lagos State Fire Service whose chief, Rasak Fadipe, confirmed the incident.
Fadipe said the man was walking along the road when he unexpectedly pulled off his shoes and jumped into the canal.
He was dead by the time fire fighters reached the scene.
His identity was not immediately known.
