Senator Shehu Sani’s suspension upheld by APC’s state executives

The All Progressive Congress in Kaduna State chapter has upheld the suspension slammed on Senator Shehu Sani at his ward as a member of the party and from participating in party activities for a period of eleven months.

The state acting publicity secretary of the party, Alhaji Salisu Tanko Wusono, while addressing newsmen in Kaduna, said, “Having exhausted all avenues available to us in the party, we have left with no option than to take the necessary disciplinary measures against Senator Shehu Sani.

“The serious security threat he caused to the fragile peace of Kaduna State when he incited the youths of Southern Kaduna to in his words, “challenge and irritate” the APC state government.

“Reckless statement blaming the Nigerian Army over clash with the shi’ite sect, which was a deliberate attempt at further inciting members of the sect against the Nigerian Army and the Federal Government and causing widespread eruption of violence in Kaduna State.

“His continued disrespect and disobedient of state party leaders as exemplified by his recent refusal to collect a duly signed letter by the acting state chairman of the party, this is despite his constitutionally assigned right to his position as enshrined by article 14.2, sub section (iii) and further specified by article 15, section (B) of the party constitution. There is also similar disregard of invitation to a meeting by his ward Tudun Wada North ward executive committee.

“His various attempts at factionalizing and creating parallel party organs within the state, a situation that has resulted in various complaints against him by all the members of the 23 local government areas chapters of our great party in the state.”

The party further noted that Senator Shehu Sani’s serious offences against the party as captured by article 21 section (A), sub sections 1, ii, iii, v, vi, and vii of the constitution of the party calls for great concern resulting to the action taken by the party.
