Semenitari declares emergency in NDDC

Invest In Mutual Funds Like A Hero

The Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Ibim Semenitari, says there is an emergency towards delivering the mandate of the Commission, hence calling on the directors to rise up to their duties as there is no time to waste.

Semenitari stated this while taking over from the former Managing Director of the Commission, Mr. Bassey Dan- Abia at the NDDC complex in Port Harcourt yesterday.

She said, “Mine is an acting position, so it means that we have absolutely no time. What that means for the directors and board of the commission is that we will have to put pressure upon pressure on you. There will be no time to rest because I do not have the time.”

The new NDDC boss also affirmed that she has the requisite knowledge to deliver the task embedded on her.

Semenitari promised to work towards ensuring that the vision of President Muhammadu Buhari to developing the region was realised.

While noting that she would continue from where her predecessor stopped, the new NDDC boss commend Mr. Dan Abia for the enormous work he did in the commission during his tenure.
