Adeleke deposes Osun monarch sentenced to prison in US

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has deposed Joseph Oloyede as the Apetu of Ipetumodu after the monarch’s conviction in the United States over COVID-19 relief funds fraud.

Media aide to the governor, Olawale Rasheed, made this known in a statement on Monday.

News360 Info recalls that in August 2025, Oloyede was sentenced to 56 months in prison.

The monarch was charged for allegedly defrauding the US government of $4.2 million in COVID-19 relief funds.
