Popular comedian, I Go Save, has raised an alarm over what he describes as a “begging pandemic” currently hitting the streets of Lagos.
In a post shared on his Instagram story on Saturday, the entertainer expressed deep concern over the aggressive nature of begging in the state. He called on the government to take immediate action to address the situation before it gets out of hand.
Contrasting begging styles across the country, the comedian noted that while beggars in the North are known for holding plates, those in Lagos have adopted a more threatening approach.
“In the Northern parts of Nigeria, beggars hold plates, but in Lagos, beggars hold stones. The government needs to stop this growing pandemic in Lagos instantaneously,” he wrote.
