Former Kano State Governor, Umar Ganduje, has declared that the 2027 election is assured for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Abba Yusuf.
Ganduje made this declaration on Monday at the House of Representatives chamber of the National Assembly, where he witnessed the defection of eight lawmakers.
The eight Kano State lawmakers officially announced their defection from the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
“So you can see today, as far as we are concerned, is the day of liberation. 2027 is assured for President Bola Tinubu, and also our Executive Governor, Abba Yusuf and all our members of National Assembly and State Assembly.
“So it’s something that we are really so happy today, and we thank them for that, and we thank Mr President for providing an enabling environment for other political parties to see that APC has a climate of accommodating other members of other political parties.
“And we assure them of full integration in our party. Of course, that is why we are talking of integration. That is, we are now one. We are now a compound, not a mixture,” he said.
