President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has declared that his son, Barron Trump is a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo.
This was after Ronaldo met with Barron before being honored by Trump at a White House dinner on Tuesday night
Ronaldo was part of the delegation as the US leader hosted the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, to Washington DC.
Ronaldo, the captain of Saudi Pro League side, Al Nassr and his fiancee, Georgina Rodriguez, made the trip to the US.
The 40-year-old was seen in a black tuxedo as he took his seat alongside the likes of world’s richest man, Elon Musk and US vice president JD Vance.
Trump namechecked the Portuguese football icon during his speech at the dinner.
According to Trump, the former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus superstar had earlier been introduced to his son, who is a huge soccer fan.
“This room is loaded up with the biggest leaders in the world – business, sports…” Trump said.
“My son is a big fan of Ronaldo… Barron got to meet him and I think he respects his father a little bit more now – just the fact that I introduced you. So I just want to thank you both for being here.”
Ronaldo was shown a red card during Portugal’s FIFA World Cup qualifying game against Ireland and was suspended for their victory against Armenia on Sunday.
The victory on Sunday confirmed Portugal’s place in the 2026 World Cup to be hosted in the USA, Mexico and Canada.
