Former Manchester United midfielder, Paul Scholes, has said Arsenal is playing the type of football needed to win the Premier League title.
Scholes was speaking on the recent episode of The Overlap: Fans Edition.
According to him, the Gunners have become a different team since the 2-1 win at Newcastle United.
Arsenal goes into the October international break one point clear of Liverpool at the top of the table.
“I think you can always feel a good team coming, like we did with Manchester City for a few years,” Scholes said.
“Arsenal aren’t quite winning the league yet, but you watch them and think they’re good.
“At the start of the season, I never saw that in Arsenal, until the Newcastle game. They took the handbrake off a little, he started playing Eze and Ødegaard came into the team again.
“Suddenly, they are playing the type of football of a team you would expect to win the league. Saying you think they are capable, you’re never going to know until it happens.”
