Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye, has officially ruled out any return of the music duo Psquare, Naija News reports.
The artiste made it clear on social media that the group’s chapter is over and there are no plans for a reunion.
The statement came in response to fans who have been asking if the iconic twins would get back together.
Peter responded firmly, making it clear that he has no interest in reviving the group.
“Can we just have Psquare back?”, the tweep asked.
Reacting, Peter stated, “Not with me! Done and dusted”.
He also addressed comments linking the group’s split to a decline in their music, urging people to respect individual choices and accept that change is part of life.
“That’s why you guys have flopped badly“, the tweep wrote.
“Not your, flop! Learn to respect people’s decisions! Nothing lasts forever! Change is constant,” he replied.
Psquare, consisting of Peter and Paul Okoye, was one of Africa’s most successful music acts before their highly publicised separation.
Their split has been followed by various disputes, including issues over family and management of shared funds.
Since the split, both artistes have pursued independent careers.
Peter now performs as Mr P, while Paul has taken the stage name Rudeboy. Both have built solo paths in the music industry, leaving Psquare behind.
