Former aide to late President Muhammadu Buhari, Lauretta Onochie, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of refusing to issue forms to its aspirants after they have paid huge sums of money.
News360 Info reports that the screening of aspirants seeking various national offices at the forthcoming APC National Convention held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
Amid the ongoing screening, Onochie, in a post via , questioned when the APC became a 419 political association, stressing that whatever President Bola Tinubu touches, he destroys.
She wrote, “How did APC become a 419 political association? Across the nation, APC aspirants are paying huge amounts of money for forms, but APC refuses to give them the forms they have paid for.
“They have already nominated the candidates but are still selling forms. This is not democracy. This is fraud. Whatever Tinubu touches, he destroys.”
Meanwhile, the APC on Tuesday screened its National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, as part of preparations for the party’s 2026 National Convention.
The exercise was conducted by the Aspirants’ Screening Committee, chaired by Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji.
According to Daily Post, during the screening, members of the committee reportedly asked Yilwatda to take a bow, in what was described as recognition of his leadership of the party.
The exercise commenced at about 9:00 a.m., with party officials and aspirants in attendance.
The exercise was conducted for party members who had purchased and submitted their Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to contest for positions at the forthcoming convention. The screening process is a key step in ensuring that only qualified aspirants emerge for the various leadership roles within the party.
