Don’t Drag My Children Into Your Claims – Iyabo Ojo Warns Baba Ijesha

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has issued a strong warning to actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, telling him to stop bringing her children into his public statements.

News360 Info reports that she made this known in a post shared on her Instagram page on Sunday, where she addressed the actor directly and made it clear that she would not tolerate any further mention of her children in his narrative.

She stated that she is ready to take legal steps if the situation continues. The actress explained that her children were always properly cared for while growing up.

According to her, they were never left alone, as they were under the supervision of nannies or her late mother.

She also spoke about her former business location in Ilu-Peju, Lagos, noting that several staff members worked there, including stylists, sales attendants, and trainees.

This, she said, made it unlikely that she would personally leave her children in unsafe conditions or run errands by herself.

Iyabo Ojo said she has no issue with Baba Ijesha sharing his own side of events but insisted that her children must not be used in any attempt to gain sympathy or public support.

She stressed that the case involving a minor remains a serious matter and pointed out that the court had already delivered its judgment based on available evidence.

She wrote: “Stop using my children as your cheap bait. It won’t fly. I honestly have no problem with you telling your side of the story, but take this as a notice to cease and desist from using my children. The 14-year-old girl was a minor, and sexual assault is never okay. It is a crime.

“You should show some remorse. The court found you guilty based on evidence, so please don’t drag my kids into this. Stop mentioning their names, else I would direct my counsel to serve you appropriate papers.”

Her reaction follows an interview granted by Baba Ijesha, where he spoke about his past relationship with the actress and mentioned times he claimed she left her children in his care.

He expressed sadness over how their relationship has changed and maintained that he never meant any harm.

In one of the accounts he shared, he described an incident at her shop in Ilu-Peju where he said he was asked to look after the children while she stepped out.

He claimed he later left them briefly with an apprentice and went to check on her, only to meet a crowd at the location.
