‘Writing Election Results From Bedroom Will Not Happen In 2027’ – Senator Kalu

The Senator representing Abia North constituency in the National Assembly, Orji Uzor Kalu, has warned that rigging or any other form of manipulation would not be allowed in Abia State during the next general election.

News360 Info reports that Kalu, who was addressing members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his support groups in his hometown, Igbere, on Friday, said the November 2, 2024, Abia State local government election, won by the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), was not credible or fair.

Senator Kalu alleged that someone wrote the election results from his bedroom, and such an act will not be allowed in the 2027 election.

He said, “When the local government election was conducted in Abia State, one man entered his bedroom and wrote election, saying it was won by the Zenith party, that would not happen in 2027.”

The Senator who declared his support for the recently concluded APC State Congress in Abia, said the party is united to take over the Government House, Umuahia, and would ride on the unity to clinch all seats.

Kalu also challenged the APC members to work for President Bola Tinubu’s victory, warning that acts of sabotage experienced in 2023 must not be repeated.

Taking a swipe at Governor Alex Otti, Abia North Senator said he should stop operating from his private residence in Isiala Ngwa, noting that the continued abandonment of Government House, Umuahia, is affecting the economy of the Abia State capital.

Kalu also dismissed the accusations that his administration did not achieve anything as Abia Governor, describing the claims as wicked propaganda by the present administration.
