‘There Were Plans To Make Him Lose’ – Pastor Ibiyeomie Speaks On Helping Wike Emerge Governor

The General Overseer of Salvation Ministry, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has recounted offering spiritual support to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to emerge as Governor of Rivers State.

News360 Info reports that Ibiyomie, while delivering a sermon at the church’s headquarters in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, claimed that Wike met him when he was on the verge of losing his election in court, and he prayed against it.

Pastor Ibiyeomie also claimed that Wike met with him when his re-election seemed almost impossible.

According to the clergyman, some people had already made plans for Wike’s failure, but he interceded on his behalf.

He said, “Wike lost in the High Court, lost in the Appeal Court and judgement was already passed in the Supreme Court against him not to be governor.

“I called him while I was in Israel, he was shaking but I told him not to fear.

“I told him that God will step in and he said ‘papa I believe you; he was in PDP and APC was in power and we were doing five nights of Glory. After the program, Wike walked up to me, that was on Tuesday and judgement was to be announced on Friday.

“I told him that even if the judgement is against you, I command it turned. He never had money that time because he was in the opposition party that time.

“When the whole thing turned around in his favour he said ‘papa, I knew this is God’. I was the only priest invited during his Thanksgiving.

“Second time when he came, he was to loose the election. They already arranged how to make him lose and somebody walked up to me and said ‘you prayed for Wike, we will see how he wins’.

“Wike was shaking and I covenanted with God. I gave millions to God on behalf of Wike but I didn’t tell him.

“I said Lord, not for his sake but for my sake.”
