Serie A: They’re favourite – Allegri predicts team to win title this season

AC Milan manager, Massimiliano Allegri has predicted Inter Milan as the favourite to win the Serie A title this season.

Allegri spoke at his post-match interview after AC Milan defeated Inter 1-0 in the Serie A derby at the weekend.

Pervis Estupiñán’s first-half goal ensured Allegri’s side defeated Inter at San Siro on Sunday.

The outcome of the match means Milan are in second position on the Serie A table with seven points behind leaders Inter after 28 games.

“Inter have a seven-point lead,” Allegri told DAZN Italia as quoted by Football Italia.

“That is a big advantage, they are still the strongest team and the clear favourites.”
